The follow-up rule isn't 5 minutes — it's 1 minute or never.
Codified asSpeed-to-Lead engine fires the first SMS in <60 seconds, every time. No human in the loop for the first touch.
Sales floor. Finance desk. Sales manager. General sales manager. I worked every seat in the building before I ever wrote a line of production code. Then I stopped waiting for someone else to fix the software and started building it myself.

Why I left
The software inside the average dealership has not changed in any meaningful way in fifteen years. I watched eight GMs in a row promise a CRM overhaul, watched eight CRM overhauls turn into the same software with a different logo, and watched my reps quit anyway. The problem was never going to fix itself from the inside.
I’m not going to spend this page trashing the incumbents by name — that’s what /compare is for. What I’ll say honestly is this: the tools we had were built by people who had never sat in a deal, never desked a payment, never followed up with a customer at 9pm on a Sunday. It showed. Every day. In every report. In every rep meeting. In every churned deal.
On May 2nd I stepped off the floor. Not because the floor was beneath me — the floor is the thing — but because I couldn’t keep training reps on tools I didn’t believe in. So I left, and I’m building the operating system I would have killed for as a GSM. That’s the whole story.
From the floor, into the code
Each one is a thing I learned by watching it cost a dealership real money. Each one is now wired into the product as a default, not a setting.

Codified asLive Pencil shows the customer the same math the desk manager sees — payment, money down, residual, total cost. No hidden flat.

Codified asWe talk to the DMS so the rep doesn't have to. Every Gladius surface stays in our app; we sync silently behind the scenes.

Codified asService-to-Sales engine pipes RO data into Lead Scoring. The trade signal is the strongest signal we measure.

Codified asThe rep view has four buttons. Not forty. Every tap saves a real minute, and the minute belongs to the rep.

Codified asCall Intelligence transcribes, scores, and surfaces objection patterns inside 90 seconds of hangup. Coaching writes itself.

Codified asWe soft-delete only. Every LeadActivity row is permanent. The 18-month dead lead that came back to buy? We can prove she was at the store nine times.

Codified asSmart Tasks scores intent every night and reorders the day. The rep walks in to a queue that already knows who's hot.
Why five verticals
People ask why I shipped auto, detailing, turf, stone, and BDC in the same year. The honest answer: it’s the same product. A lead is a lead. A follow-up cadence is a follow-up cadence. A rep’s reputation graph travels with them whether they sell a car or quote a paver patio.
The verticals share an engine, a data model, an AI brain, and an AWAIS defense layer. What changes is the language on the rep’s screen and the integrations behind it. Reps speak the same operator language across every rooftop and every vertical — that’s the moat.
What I’m building toward
Q4 2026
30 signed accounts across the five verticals. Twenty auto rooftops, ten verticals-other. Real ARR, real testimonials, real proof.
2027
Multi-vertical OS platform — one operating system, one playbook, one rep-passport graph. Reps moving between rooftops and verticals without losing their reputation.
Defensible moat
AWAIS as the autonomous application-defense category we created. 66 rules, 53 signatures, 261 patterns. Sentinel mesh propagates across all five verticals in under 30 seconds.

I answer my own LinkedIn. I answer my own email. If you’ve read this far, you’re not a lead in a queue — you’re someone I want to know. Tell me what’s broken at your store and I’ll tell you honestly whether Gladius is ready for it.
